Life doesn’t stop when you get sick — and neither should your care.
“I think sometimes people aren’t sure what to expect in an Urgent Care setting,” said Dr. David Remmer. “Our focus is on being accessible, convenient, and meeting the needs of the patient in a caring way.”
Lakeland Regional Health’s Urgent Care centers are designed for busy schedules, offering fast, reliable treatment for everything from colds and flu to minor cuts and burns.
“We all know how hard it is to be sick. With everything we have going on daily, who has time for themselves or their loved ones to be under the weather? It always seems to happen at the most inconvenient times,” said Dr. Janelle Ramcharan, who is now accepting new patients in LRH’s Winter Haven Downtown location.
“I tell my patients that when they need care quickly in the evenings or on the weekends, they should head to Urgent Care. No one should have to suffer with cold or flu symptoms, rashes, infections, earaches, minor cuts, or burns any longer than necessary.”

For families, peace of mind means knowing where to go. Do you know when Urgent Care is the right choice vs. when it’s time for the ER?
“If a parent is worried their child does not seem well, for example, if they are having difficulty breathing, they are dehydrated, or they are not acting like their normal self, those are all reasons to head straight to the Emergency Room.” said Dr. Charles Eldridge, an LRH pediatric emergency physician at Polk County’s only Children’s Emergency Department.
With providers you trust and flexible options built for real life, LRH Urgent Care is there when you need it most.
