At Lakeland Regional Health Physician Group, women find exceptional care for every stage of life.
From complete prenatal and birthing care to breast health, menopause management, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, Lakeland Regional Health’s OB-GYN services offer support when needed.
“Lakeland Regional Health is committed to supporting women’s health at every age, from pregnancy to motherhood and beyond,” said Dr. Kristina VanderMark, obstetrician. “In my own practice, I strive to ensure patients feel seen, heard, and supported as we navigate her unique health journey together.”
Comprehensive OB-GYN and maternity care
The Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children stands as the heart of that mission. Designed with both comfort and clinical excellence in mind, the Pavilion offers a warm, family-centered environment where women and children receive the highest level of specialized care.
With state-of-the-art technology, spacious birthing suites, and an experienced team, the Pavilion redefines what personalized care can feel like.
Moms-to-be also have access to Maternity Care Navigators — registered nurses who help families prepare, plan, and feel supported throughout pregnancy and beyond.
“Our navigation team is composed of certified registered nurses who have specialized in labor, delivery, or postpartum, and we are dedicated to making your journey a smooth and positive one,” said Maternity Care Navigator Lauren Hall, RN.
Advanced care for moms and babies
Lakeland Regional Health is home to Polk County’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing specialty care for premature and at-risk newborns, including those weighing less than 2.2 pounds.
Having a Level III NICU onsite ensures that mothers and babies stay together — even when advanced care is needed. The Pavilion also includes an Obstetrics Emergency Department (OB ED) dedicated to pregnancy-related complications, offering peace of mind for expectant mothers.
Empowering families through education
Beyond medical care, Lakeland Regional Health helps families feel confident and prepared through community classes on breastfeeding, baby care, and even sessions for new grandparents, fathers, and siblings.
Recognized as a Level III Maternal Care Verified facility by The Joint Commission and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Lakeland Regional Health continues to set the standard for excellence in women’s and children’s healthcare — because every family deserves exceptional beginnings.
