Today is National Plan for Vacation Day – the last Tuesday of January encouraging Americans to plan their paid time off (PTO) for the rest of the year at the start of a new year.

Usually known as one to make spontaneous trips (guilty as charged – Jessica here), this year I’m trying to #PlanAhead by already having approved PTO for my vacation to London this upcoming March.

Will you be planning a trip to a new destination this year? Or will you go to your favorite vacation spot? For those who need a little inspiration, check out these recommendations from LALtoday readers. Our pick would be Debbie C.’s adventure to Finger Lakes District of New York State or Leslie J.’s relaxing time on Anna Maria Island.
