Lakeland city commissioners and staff will meet on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24 for their biannual Strategic Planning Retreat. Topics on the agenda include results from community + departmental surveys, plus deep dives into city infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life.

The retreat is open for Lakelanders to join in person at the RP Funding Center or watch online. Day 1 runs from 8 a.m. to around 5 p.m., and Day 2 begins at 8 a.m. and will end closer to 2 p.m. Both days will be broadcast on the Lakeland Government Network, and we’ll bring you the highlights in upcoming newsletters.

Pro tip: Community members are invited, but this retreat does not include time for public comment.
