One of the most loveable things about Lakeland is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars. Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Aries: Shore Acres | March 21-April 19

Known as the passionate and confident leader of the zodiac, an Aries would feel right at home in Shore Acres . The area’s rich history began as a rival town to Lakeland in the 1880s; it even beat Lakeland to establish a railroad depot , paving the way for many other neighborhoods. The mysterious fire that claimed that original depot , putting Lakeland on the map, alludes to the fiery personality of this fire sign.

Taurus: Lake Bonnet | April 20-May 20

As a lover of loyalty, you’ll feel right at home in the Lake Bonnet Neighborhood. Home to Bonnet Springs Park and the Florida Children’s Museum , this neighborhood can be counted on to provide family-friendly events year-round. With the Downtown West redevelopment underway, you can expect lots of things to do, eat, and see coming around the corner.

Gemini: Crystal Lake | May 21-June 20

The extroverted nature of a Gemini means they tend to get along with all kinds of people — similar to this neighborhood, which is one of Lakeland’s most diverse . From lunch spots like Primo’s Pizzeria to unique nightlife and outdoor activities, Crystal Lake has something for everyone to enjoy.

Cancer: Cleveland Heights | June 21-July 22

The sentimental and gentle nature of this sign is the perfect match for Cleveland Heights. Take a scenic drive down one of Lakeland’s most iconic boulevards, enjoy a bubble tea from Tea Largo , book some tee time on the nearly 100-year-old golf course , or pop in for a walk-in crafting experience at PicassoZ DIY studio for all the homey vibes.

Leo: Paul A. Diggs | July 23-Aug. 22

The Paul A. Diggs neighborhood is a perfect fit for the welcoming and proud nature that a Leo embodies. This sign makes its presence known — similar to this neighborhood’s popular community assets like the Coleman-Bush Building , Rochelle School of the Arts, and Jackson Park.

Virgo: Lake Hollingsworth | Aug. 23-Sept. 22

This earth sign has very practical and grounded qualities, making the Lake Hollingsworth neighborhood a perfect fit. Between the array of annual events on the pedestrian path and water , and its long-standing position as one of Lakeland’s focal points, this spot will leave a Virgo’s busy mind feeling right at home.

Libra: Dixieland | Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Dixieland’s active yet small-town vibe is just as balanced as a Libra. With local bars like The Pink Piano , coffee spots like Concord Coffee , and unique shops like 360 Unlimited , this quirky yet calm part of Swan City is fitting for this air sign.

Scorpio: Camphor Heights | Oct. 23-Nov. 21

The aura of Camphor Heights ’ picturesque boulevard perfectly encapsulates this water sign. This slice of town is rich in history and within just a few minutes drive of some of Lakeland’s best shopping, dining, and experiences.

Sagittarius: North Lakeland | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

As an adventure seeker, you’ll be able to make a speedy getaway from this neighborhood with the closest access to I-4. This sign’s need for constant change and adventure can be fed by quick jaunts to nearby Tampa and Orlando, or at local spots like Music Ranch , Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux , and Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium .

Capricorn: Downtown | Dec. 22-Jan. 19

Featuring Lakeland’s oldest incorporated district , this is the practical spot for a Capricorn. With how hardworking you are, you’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of spots to network and work remotely . When it’s time to cut loose, Capricorns will have plenty to choose from when it comes to food, drinks, coffee, and recreation.

Aquarius: Midtown | Jan. 20-Feb. 18

The unique businesses of this resurging neighborhood embody the eclectic nature of an Aquarius. We recommend hitting up Quinteassence Kava Bar for a late-night tea at this bustling social hub. During the day, you can’t miss The Yard on Mass , which is open seven days a week with food trucks, drinks on tap, live music, and more.

Pisces: Lake Morton | Feb. 19-March 20

Being an introvert, this sign needs a quaint spot to recharge the social battery — and where else would we find this creative, artsy water sign other than the neighborhood with a lake and an art museum ? The historic Lake Morton neighborhood provides the perfect escapist moment for a Pisces to relax — preferably with a delicious coffee from Black & Brew .

And don’t worry, if you’re not much of a stargazer, you can use this interactive quiz to find your perfect Swan City neighborhood.
