No doubt, we’re seeing a ton of growth lately in + around our beautiful city. While the advancement of so many new projects can seem overwhelming at times, we love seeing developments that act as larger gateway drivers into the community.

And that’s exactly what’s happening right now with a newly proposed development dubbed “Cypress Landing” in Winter Haven, a few miles east of downtown Lakeland.

The recent post shared by the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce shows conceptual plans for 77+ acres of land that have been filed with the City – from an affiliate company of Century Company.

The development could potentially include:

  • 183,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
  • 210 apartments.
  • A 110-room hotel.

With so much potential for the development, Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce is asking, “If you could pick, what would you like to see in this retail center?”

Here are some of our favorite responses. ⬇️

  • “A Lakeside Village like in Lakeland would be awesome...a place to shop and eat and just walk around outside. HomeGoods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Hobby Lobby.” – Linda N.
  • “A Pollo Tropical would be great....hopefully no more mattress or auto parts stores…” – Carrie-Anne B.
  • Family Fun Spot like in Lakeland, a Dave and Buster’s in Orlando. Something fun for families to do would be great.” – Stephanie G.
