Hey Lakeland, Jessica here. It’s officially spring and even though the equinox isn’t actually until the 20th, our Florida temperatures would say otherwise. This month is loaded with #MustDos (aka events you don’t want to miss) and we wanted to feature a few we’re pretty excited about.

I personally can’t wait for the 2019 Spring Haus Mrkt. The quarterly event features over 40 artisans, crafters, + makers, and welcomes over 500 guests at Haus 820. I’m in a “shopping” state of mind.

2019 Wine Festival of Central Florida | Friday, March 8 | 5:30-9 p.m. | Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror, 501 E Main St | $65 | With a collection of over 150 wines, spirits, and craft beers for sampling, along with food from some of the best chefs and restaurants in Polk County.

Sugarbuzz Dessert Festival | Saturday, March 9 | 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | Downtown | Free | This installment of the Downtown Farmers Curb Market will feature current market vendors + special guests with sweets– ranging from pies and pastries, to cookies, donuts, sweet breads, + more.

2019 Spring Haus Mrkt | Friday, March 15 | 5:30-9 p.m. | Haus 820, 820 N Massachusetts Ave | Featuring local vendors, food, goods, and live music.

The Sound of Music | Sunday, March 17 | 5 p.m. | RP Funding Center | $45-$50 | Come see the classic musical story with its Tony, Grammy, and Academy Award winning Best Score.

5th Annual Suit-Up | Wednesday, March 20 | 2-5 p.m. | Polk State College LTB Building, 3425 Winter Lake Rd | pricing information here | This networking event is free for students to discover local career opportunities.
