It’s a new week of eggciting events with Easter coming up this weekend (and all the bunny photo ops + chocolate eggs that come with it). 🐰 With April halfway over, we’ve already seen a lot + talked about just as much – from the S. Florida Ave. road diet and sculptures on Lemon St. to Florida Man and Lakeland’s newest Indian restaurant, Curry Mango.

For the Love of Swans | Thurs., April 18 | 9 a.m. | Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, 1021 Lakeland Hills Blvd. | Donations Accepted | Community event featuring swan boats, food, music, games + fireworks to benefit Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, who provide free medical care to community members in need.
Cheers to a Year! | Fri., April 19 - Sun., April 21 | Various times | Swan Brewing | Celebrate Swan Brewing’s first birthday with plenty of drinks, new beer releases, food trucks, and live music. 🎈
Easter Egg Hunts | Sat., April 20 | 9-10 a.m. | Various locations | Free | Polk County Parks & Recreation is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunts for children ages 2-9 at Snively Brooks Park, Polk City Park, Medulla Resource Center, Mary Norma Campbell Resource Center + Ft. Meade Outdoor Recreation Area at 9 a.m. sharp.
2019 Tiger Trot 5K | Sat., April 20 | 5 p.m. | Publix Field Joker Marchant Stadium | $20-$25 | The flat and fast course will start in the stadium parking lot, weave its way through Lake Parker Park, and end on the warning track near third base. Specialty dog tags will be given to all 5K finishers and awards will be given to top finishers.
