After a busy week of public appearances + virtual Q+A sessions, Frederick R. Heid has been appointed as Polk County Public Schools’ Superintendent.
Polk County’s “Super Search” was a months-long process in which candidates were selected, finalists were named, and an in-depth search was conducted in an effort to fill the spot’s vacancy.
Frederick previously served Algonquin County in his role of superintendent for the Community Unit School District. Currently, Frederick is earning his Doctoral degree in Education from Aurora University.
