ICYMI, Mark Wahlberg recently donated 1.3 million face masks to schools nationwide as the school year is now in full swing – virtually or not. The actor’s donations were to help both students and teachers across the country, including our very own Lakeland, FL.

Some schools have already felt the effects of his donation in Lakeland – what can we say? The man acts fast. The disposable, 3-ply masks that were donated are a product of a partnership between Wahlberg’s own brand Performance Inspired + LifeToGo.

Here’s a quote from Marky Mark regarding his donation: “This has been a year of change and stress for everybody. But today, I want to thank our essential workers. You guys have kept us healthy, safe and supplied us with all of the necessities. Every day brings a new challenge but we continue to pray for you and your families. And, please know your efforts are much appreciated.

Other cities graced with this donation include Bentonville (AR), Boise (ID), Chicago (IL), Cincinnati (OH), Grand Rapids (MI), Minneapolis (MN), Portland (OR), Quincy (MA), Rochester (NY), Salisbury (NC), San Antonio (TX), and Woonsocket (RI).
