Good morning, Lakeland. Katelyn here. 👋 Is anyone else slightly obsessed with finding out why you are the way that you are? Let me explain: I love learning about my personality via Myers Briggs or even reading my horoscopeany fellow Scorpios out there?

One test that I take annually is the Enneagram Test.

At its core, the test aims to identify ourselves at a deeper level as it relates to 9 core personality types. To uncover your Enneagram type, a test is administered which you can take online – where you will uncover your basic personality type, your “center”, your “wing”, and a hefty description explaining your type + why you are the way that you are. Cool, right?

My enneagram type is 6w5 which means I’m type 6, The Skeptic, or Loyalist. My “Wing is 5, aka, The Investigator, and I fall into The Heart (Thinking) Center. Kaylee is either a 4w5 or a 5w4, depending on the day. This means that she’s type 4, The Individualist, with a 5 wing, aka, The Investigator. It’s fitting that we’re in this line of work, we both share The Investigator wing. 🤣

Want to take the test for yourself? There are a bunch of online tests you can take. You can find one here.

And while it’s fun to share about ours, we wanted to take this one step further and anoint Lakeland’s Enneagram type. So, we came up with a few ways Lakeland fits within each type + want your help choosing the most accurate result for the 863.

  • Type 1 – The Reformer: Ah, that perfect city silhouette, the clean layout of downtown. We’re pretty perfect, and that’s evident in our City’s flawless architecture.
  • Type 2 – The Helper: How to make a loved-one happy 101: Be their counsel as you walk around Lake Hollingsworth + then take them out for ice cream.
  • Type 3 – The Achiever: Who run the world? (Lakeland). There’s no better place to find success – from our innovative coworking space (hey there, Catapult) to our many successful businesses.
  • Type 4 – The Individualist: Calling all creatives. The City has a plethora of opportunities for artists, musicians, writers + other creative makers.
  • Type 5 – The Investigator: LAL is the perfect place to hole up in (one of the many) coffee shops around here on a rainy day with a good book from the library.
  • Type 6 – The Loyalist: We’re a city chock full of philanthropists + when folks need a hand, they know they can come to us to give support. Also, shout out to the billions of nonprofits + volunteers who make our City kinder.
  • Type 7 – There’s always an adventure right around the corner here in the 863 – it may just take a little bit of searching.
  • Type 8 – For that high-stamina + top-tier self-discipline, Lakeland has plenty of workout options, both virtual + in-person.
  • Type 9 – Harmony, balance, and our City’s nack for yoga classes, go hand-in-hand.

Alright, Lakeland, now it’s time to vote for your pick for Lakeland’s Enneagram. Select your choice below and give us a reason why - if you want - and we’ll post the results tomorrow.
