Happy Wednesday! We’re in the middle of the second week of 2019, which begs the question: How are those resolutions coming along?
If your plans for self-improvement have already started fizzling out, you’re not alone. According to US News, 80% of New Year’s resolution-ers will fail by the second week of February. That means, even if you’re hanging onto your ‘new year, new you’ grind, the odds are still against you.

The good news? As fun as it is to ring in the new year with a list of resolutions, healthier habits + better decisions don’t have to start when the clock strikes midnight. And even if you fall off the wagon – or even if you haven’t even hopped on the wagon yet– it’s not too late to get back on.
Another secret to success in 2019: New habits don’t have to cost a thing. This is particularly true when it comes to getting fit, which, year after year, remains one of the most popular resolutions to make.
Luckily, Lakeland has a workout for every budget, and just because you’re broke post-holiday doesn’t mean you have to shelve that resolution and go back to the couch. We’ve rounded up 8+ workouts so you can get your sweat on and save some dough.
Here are a few of our favorite recommendations and your suggestions. ⬇️

Gym memberships can be great, but buyers beware: 67% of them go totally unused. If you’re thinking of making the commitment, consider the following before signing the dotted line:
✔ Make sure you’re already working out on a regular basis before you make the commitment. If it’s already a habit, you’re more likely to go.
✔ Check the gym’s location + operating hours to ensure it’s convenient to your workout routine. If it’s four miles in the opposite direction of your commute home, are you really going to go after work every night?
✔ Try before you buy. Many gyms offer free weekly or monthly passes or allow you to take your first class free. Take advantage of those offers + shop around a little before making a decision.
