Jessica here, and I want to inform you that I did not experience the full bliss of thrifting until a grad school roommate introduced me to something I didn’t even know had a skill + craft behind it. Alexis would walk into a Salvation Army on half-off Wednesdays or a Grab Bag Sale at Plato’s Closet and walk out with a bag of branded clothes that still had their original tags, spending barely anything.

I don’t know about you, but it’s rare to find a few great gems at one place that are purchase-worthy, and getting them at a discount with their original tags still on seems like a win to me.

I have friends who will dig through every thrift store within a 60-mile radius to discover that great deal and perfect outfit, but I don’t have that much interest or the stamina for that.

Whatever your thrift store shopping M.O. is, we want to hear about your favorite places to go in the region and see/hear about your best finds. And, if you have tips about how to navigate thrift stores, send those our way too.
