The Lakeland Public Library is connecting readers and writers through its Author Talk series. These virtual webinars bring in bestselling authors to talk about their latest books over Zoom. Register for these free upcoming talks to hear from the writers and ask them your questions.

  • Jena Friedman | Wednesday, May 10 | 8 p.m. | Learn about life as a woman in comedy from this screenwriter as she discusses her book “Not Funny.”
  • Courtney Summers | Saturday, May 20 | 2 p.m. | This New York Times bestselling author will share about her latest young adult book “I’m the Girl.”
  • Mike Rucker, Ph.D. | Wednesday, June 7 | 4 p.m. | Learn how to make joy and wonder an everyday part of life by reading “The Fun Habit.”
  • Jamie Beck | Thursday, June 15 | 2 p.m. | This award-winning photographer will share about her book “An American in Provence,” which includes photos and recipes from her travels in France.
