Are you looking to satisfy your wander-lust after a year at home? If you’re not ready to hop on a plane, you can still stamp your passport, so to speak. Recently, our friends at COLAtoday were talking about how Columbia has a Pimento Cheese Passport, where you can go all over town trying different restaurants’ pimento cheese dishes. 🤯

Rather than continue to be jealous of this fantastic idea, we figured we would turn to our best source for great ideas + food and bev recommendations: our readers. So, Lakeland, we might not have one of the oldest recorded pimento cheese recipes like Columbia, but our city is full of great options.

What food, dish, or ingredient would you be willing to travel around town trying different versions of? Maybe it’s a tour of vegan options or a coffee shop caravan or a trip to some Lakeland staples, like Black and Brew (205 E. Main St.) + Cob and Pen (1221 Florida Ave. S.).

Let us know what you can’t get enough of, and we’ll put together an unofficial food passport. This will be a great way for tourists + snowbirds to experience our restaurant scene or even for seasoned Lakelanders to try something new. And, if you’re looking for something to satiate your hunger in the meantime, you could always book a walking or trolley food tour.
