Watson Clinic is making major moves to meet the growing healthcare needs of Central Florida with a new affiliation and meaningful expansions across the community. Let’s get into it.

New hospital coming soon

Watson Clinic is officially collaborating with Orlando Health on the upcoming Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital.

Currently under construction at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Blvd., the seven-story hospital will include:

  • 300+ inpatient beds
  • 69 emergency and observation beds
  • 11 operating rooms
  • Four cardiac/interventional suites
  • 18 ICU beds (36 at full build-out)

Another highlight is the expanded comprehensive obstetrics department, which will include:

  • Eight labor and delivery rooms
  • Two C-section operating rooms
  • 25+ postpartum rooms
  • A 12-bed NICU (debuting shortly after the hospital opens)

Two new Watson Clinic locations

Alongside the hospital, Watson Clinic is building two new facilities:

The first is a 80,000-sqft, four-story Medical Office Building (name TBD) offering:

There will also be an Ambulatory Surgery Center, designed to enhance outpatient care with:

  • Six high-tech operating rooms
  • 20 pre- and post-op bays
  • Six post-anesthesia care units

Both facilities will operate solely under Watson Clinic and join their 20+ existing locations across Polk, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties.

“Watson Clinic is excited to expand our presence on the new campus in order to serve the healthcare needs of our growing community,” CEO Jason Hirsbrunner said.

As the campus continues to take shape, patients can look forward to even more convenience, innovation, and compassion — right in the heart of the Swan City.
