Lakeland Antique Mall (3530 US Hwy. 98 N.) is #Trending due to the sale of a $50,000 ride vehicle from Snow White’s Scary Adventures. The vehicle’s price tag is stirring up statewide coverage from the likes of Sean Daly over at WTPV to the Disney blogs such as Inside the Magic.

The now extinct dark ride, formerly located at Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom, closed its doors after 41 years, on May 31, 2012, after multiple refurbishments (including one in 1994 after guests complained it was too frightening).

The vehicle was originally purchased at a Disney auction by a private collector based out of Los Angeles after it was removed from the ride queue at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in the early ’90s during a round of refurbishments. The reason being that the new ride cars were being updated with three rows of seats, and the current vehicles only contained two.

Today, the Princess Fairytale Hall stands in its place leaving the only variation of the ride on American soil, at Disneyland in California, with other international renditions in Tokyo Disneyland + Disneyland Paris.

For the ultimate Disney superfan, the vehicle, named after Snow White’s dwarf, “Dopey,” is still on the market, if you can dish out $50,000.
