The day music lovers have been waiting for finally arrived: Spotify Wrapped dropped on Wednesday, Dec. 3. At the end of every year, the music streaming service shares each user’s top artists, genres, songs, and more stats — and you’re probably seeing your friends’ all over your social media feeds.

We looked through several lists of listening statistics to see what’s trending in Lakeland this year, but even on this list of top genres in 4,200+ cities, Swan City was left out. So we’re taking it into our own hands.

Were you jamming along to local musicians like Van Plating? How about hitting “replay” on the Florida Men on Florida Man podcast? A few readers shared their Wrapped results, and we’re wrapping up the answers with more local data.

Top genres
Surprisingly, no genre stood out as the most popular. Your top genres ranged from soundtracks to progressive metal. It’s all about variety.

Top artists
Your favorite artists ranged from K-pop group Red Velvet to 2025 Super Bowl headline Kendrick Lamar — his song “luther (with sza)” was the second most popular in the Tampa area this year.

Top song
You know together we’re glowin’. “Golden” by HUNTR/X was a hit for Lakelanders, and “Ordinary” by Alex Warren was the most-Googled song in our area.

Top podcast
We only got a handful of these recs, but motherhood pods reigned supreme for reader Lady L., who suggested “The Mama’s Den.”
