Florida Southern College will welcome author Joy Castro to the Lawton M. Chiles, Jr. Center for Florida History on Thursday, Nov. 6.

As part of the Florida Lecture Series, Castro will lead a discussion on “Tears and Flowers: A Poet’s Migration in Old Key West.” Through her grandfather Feliciano Castro’s poetry, Castro offers a rare perspective on the Keys’ early-20th-century Cuban community.

All Florida Lecture Series events are free + open to the public.
