Get ready to pack your bags, LAL. In a press conference on Wednesday, March 27, Avelo Airlines announced the first destination it will fly to from Lakeland Linder International Airport.
Starting Thursday, June 13, you’ll be able to hop on a direct flight from Lakeland to New Haven, CT.

With a population of 138,000+, New Haven is one of the largest cities in Connecticut and is known for being the home of Yale University . Located on the northern shore of the Long Island Sound, it is also considered part of the New York City metropolitan area (think: you can get from Tweed New Haven Airport to Times Square in around two hours).
Flights will run on Thursdays and Sundays + start at $72, and you can expect flights to last just over two and a half hours.
