How do you celebrate the person who has it all? By taking mom to one of these local Mother’s Day events. Here’s where we would take every type of mother in our lives.
For the moms who make everyone smile
Today from 5-7 p.m. at Lakeside Village, the Lagrones photography team will be taking complimentary family photos. If there was ever a time to break out your matching outfits, this is it.
For moms that are a work of art
Don’t miss Mayfaire by-the-Lake, the annual art festival that takes place around Lake Morton every Mother’s Day weekend. Spend the day perusing the booths together and picking out a piece to take home.
If your mother likes to create original art, Painting with a Twist is offering several Paint with Mom classes this weekend, plus a Mother’s Day Tea Party for little artists.

For moms who always told you to play outside
Bok Tower Gardens is offering free admission for all mothers this Sunday, May 14. Visit at 1 and 3 p.m. to hear a carillon concert and grab lunch at the Blue Palmetto Cafe.
For something closer, take mom out to the ballgame — and follow it up with brunch. Head to Joker Marchant Stadium on Sunday, May 14 to watch the 2023 Junior College State Championship baseball games while enjoying an all-you-can-eat brunch in the ’34 Club.
For the unique moms
Find handmade goods as special as they are at the Second Sunday Artisan Market. Happening Sunday, May 14 from 12-5 p.m. at Lakeside Village, this event draws top local makers.
For the moms who help you grow
Nothing beats a thoughtful bouquet of flowers. Send your mother figure an expertly made bouquet, or pick out your own blooms to create your own at Bloom Shakalaka.
