What’s open on Thanksgiving

Non-gated City of Lakeland parks
Take a walk after dinner through a local green space. This excludes Common Ground Playground, Lake Parker Park, Lake Crago Park, Peterson Park, Douglas Cook Park, Fletcher Park, Hollis Garden, Barnett Family Park, and John McGee Park.

Terrace Grille
Reserve a spot at the Thanksgiving buffet to enjoy chef-carved turkey, a raw bar, traditional dinner sides, and your choice of pie. Reservations are available from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Kitty Cat Lounge
Cat-ffeinate before cooking with a stop at this cat cafe from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine and head into the cat room to destress while petting the adoptable felines. Maybe you’ll even find one to bring home for the holidays?

Swan Brewing
Hang out in the taproom starting at 4 p.m. There won’t be a food truck on site, so feel free to bring your leftovers to share over a pint of your favorite brew. If it’s on tap, the Pumpkin Piety is the perfect pairing for a fall day.

Andrew’s Coffee
Create your own drink to enjoy before your feast at this coffee shop. It’s open from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., and there will be tiny turkey straws available to add on to your lattes + seltzers, while supplies last.

MJ’s Pizza & Wings
Burn the turkey or overcook the stuffing? MJ’s Lakeland location on Edgewood Drive is there for you. Order takeout or choose to dine in for a nontraditional twist on Thanksgiving dinner.

Where to find Thanksgiving dishes

Our Noire Kitchen
Pre-orders are open until Monday, Nov. 18 for dishes like jerk spatchcock turkey, sweet potato souffle, and pecan pie brownies. Pickups will take place at Catapult the day before Thanksgiving.

Honeycomb Bread Bakers
Top off the dinner table with freshly baked challah bread, sourdough, and Parker House rolls, or fuel up for a day of cooking with pecan sticky buns. Orders are due by Thursday, Nov. 21 for pick up on Nov. 27 at the Winter Haven bakery or Lakeland’s Ethos Roasters.

Nineteen61
Take an entire dinner to-go with enough fare to feed up to 10 people. Dinners include turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more — plus the signature 1961 Salad. Place your order by Thursday, Nov. 21 and pick it up on Thanksgiving Day between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
