We couldn’t imagine a better time to be LAL citizens.

As a city with offices from some of America’s favorite companies (you know, like Publix and Amazon) to the hotspot for local entrepreneurs (hey, Catapult members), Lakeland is continuing to sprout with growth. With new developments, expansions + maintenance projects on the rise, you can say we’re pretty proud to be Lakelanders.

But even with all it has to offer, it can still leave something to be desired.

So we asked. And you answered.

What developments would you like to see come to Lakeland? Whether new or franchised, a restaurant or retail business, you name it.

Here are the responses we received.

✉️ “I would like to see a Dave & Buster’s family fun center come to Lakeland.” - Deloria T.

✉️ “Culver’s, Sweet Tomatoes, Home Goods” - Cheryl S.

✉️ “We need more quality men’s retail options!” - Tim C.

✉️ “More ethnic restaurants would be awesome. I’m personally dying for more Thai, Sushi or Indian or healthier places...and a new brewery or bar would be great to see on [the north] side…Also, more parks/playgrounds.” - Stacy K.

✉️ “Surely would love to see a P.F. Chang’s and a Cheesecake Factory...” - Betty F.

Don’t see your idea on a business Lakeland must have? It’s not too late to let us know.

#Asked and #Answered is one way we love getting your opinions on various topics in our city. Look out for more of these - and if you have a question or an answer to one of our questions, hit us up with an email, tweet, IM, or DM.
