In queso you didn’t know, today is National Taco Day. 🌮 To celebrate, we’ve made a list of some of our favorite taco spots in Lakeland. From wrapping veggies to chicken to beef into a tortilla shell + topping them off with the extras of your choosing, these 5 trucks + restaurants are the taco-f the town.

But beanough is beanough with these taco puns, I’ll just go ahead and spill the beans on where you should get your tacos today.

La Michoacana 📍 1725 W Memorial Blvd.

This well-loved food truck is known for serving up some of the best tacos in town (and did we mention cheapest?). For under $2 each, you can eat a La Michoacana authentic taco while sitting outside enjoying this Florida fall weather (if you’re lucky enough to catch it at 70°). Though they’re closed Mondays, they are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Mega Mercado 📍 2009 George Jenkins Blvd.

Though many LALers would say La Michoacana serves up some of the best authentic tacos in town, Mega Mercado is here to compete (and according to some, maybe even win in comparison). Mega is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. + you won’t want to miss stopping in to their local grocery store while you’re there.

Federal Bar Tacos 📍 124 S Tennessee Ave.

Federal Bar celebrates Taco Tuesdays all day long with tacos for $3 each, open to close, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. (Spoken from a vegetarian; their veggie tacos are some of the best in town.) Tuesdays aren’t the only days you can get their yummy tacos though, because even on Thursday + Friday, you can stop in until 2 a.m. to grab a late night taco bite.

Taco Bus 📍 128 S. Kentucky Ave.

The Tampa-based Taco Bus found its home in Lakeland in 2015 + LALers have been flocking there ever since. This is probably the latest place you can eat a taco in Lakeland (as they are open until 3 a.m. on Friday + Saturday).

Tapatio’s Restaurante Mexicano 📍 6645 Florida Ave S + 734 E Memorial Blvd. (under renovation)

Though they serve a lot more than just tacos, Tapatio’s is another great spot to get them, authentically made, in Lakeland. They are closed on Mondays but open for the rest of the week.

Coming soon: 801 E. Main📍has also announced they are opening a Taqueria this month that will have a rotating menu full of fresh ingredients + even a vegan cashew queso. Taco-bout exciting.

Did we miss your favorite taco place? Lettuce know.

And that’s a wrap.
