September is Library Card Sign-up Month , and there’s never been a better time to celebrate in Lakeland than today. After more than a year of renovations + last week’s closure, Phase 1 of construction at the Main Branch is drawing to a close . The library will reopen today at 9 a.m. at 100 Lake Morton Dr., so you can stop by to sign up for your own library card.
There’s no shortage of benefits that a Lakeland Public Library card awards you. Enjoy book check-outs, computer use, and events, all for free. And soon, the Lakeland History & Culture Center will open to the public, offering even more reasons to get plugged in with the library.
