But today – with holiday outings approaching + gift lists mounting – we’re telling you which shows at the RP Funding Center you’ll want to PlanAhead for this season, ranging from Broadway and comedy to family shows and not-so-family-friendly shows.
Whether you’re buying tickets for yourself or for the (holiday) gift of an experience out on the town, here are 10 shows we’re excited about in RP Funding Center’s current season that we think you’ll like, too:
Cirque Dreams Holidaze | Wednesday, Nov. 20 | 7:30 p.m. | $42 | Think: Electrified circus. (Read: Your kids will love it.) 🎪
The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Musical | Monday, Nov. 25 | 7 p.m. | $37.95 | A new family-friendly musical featuring the beloved Elf on the Shelf Scout Elves, with an original story + score and impressive sets + costumes. 🎄
Waitress | Thursday, Jan. 23 | 7:30 p.m. | $59+ | Featuring an original score by Sara Bareilles, Waitress took Broadway by storm + was nominated for several Tony awards. (Writer confession: I belt “She Used to Be Mine” in my car on a regular basis.) 🥧
STOMP | Thursday, Jan. 30 | 7:30 p.m. | $49+ | Performed in 50+ countries for more than 24 million people, STOMP uses non-traditional percussion instruments (think dustbins, hubcaps + Zippo lighters) to create a unique + compelling show. 🥁
An Evening with the Celebrity Housewives | Thursday, April 23 | 7:30 p.m. | $45+ | If you’re a BRAVO Real Housewives fan, tonight’s your chance to see some of the franchises’ major players live + in-person, answering audience questions. 🍸
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical | Monday, Dec. 23 | 7:30 p.m. | $59+ | Telling the true story of King’s rise to stardom, the Tony award-winning Broadway musical features hits like “One Fine Day,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” and “You’ve Got a Friend.” 🎶
The Naked Magicians | Friday, Jan. 17 | 7:30 p.m. | $38+ | Disclaimer: This R-rated magic/comedy/strip tease show is for ages 18+. Australia’s The Naked Magicians have a Las Vegas residency and have toured 250+ cities for what Huffington Post calls “the wildest night ever.” Bachelorette party pre-game, anyone? 🎩
ABBA MANIA | Monday, Feb. 17 | 7:30 p.m. | $37+ | ABBA fans will hear all their faves like “Waterloo,” “Mamma Mia,” “Super Trouper,” “Take a Chance on Me,” + more in this internationally-loved touring tribute show. 🕺
