Introducing: Curry Mango

A few things that undoubtedly will excite any Lakelander worth their salt: celebrating entrepreneurs, new businesses + good food. And today, we’re giving you permission to burst with joy about all three.

A new restaurant concept is coming to town – bringing with it an exotic fusion twist on Indian food + the dining out experience.

Curry Mango is slated to open July 1 at 6625 S. Florida Ave. and will be joining Cafe Roti as the only Indian restaurants in Polk County.

The owner, Anthony Mankidiyan, will be serving up dishes from his youth in southernmost Indiasuch as butter chicken + chicken tikka masala – and will introduce new cuisine like fried chicken wings glazed with mango chutney. 🍗

The 120-seat restaurant will feature an outdoor patio, a full liquor bar, several flat screen televisions, and two tandoor ovens for baking smoky flatbreads + tandoori chicken.

From Tuesday through Sunday, a daily lunch buffet will be offered from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (with the restaurant closed from 3-5 p.m.). The full menu will be available from 5-10 p.m.

Hoping to get an early sample of Anthony’s fried chicken before Curry Mango opens? (Same 👋.) Swing by his convenience store at 4301 New Tampa Hwy. in Lakeland, or his food mart at 404 U.S. 17-92 N. in Davenport for a taste.
