Hey Lakeland, Kaylee here. You know, something about summertime makes me want to take a road trip + drive around town with the windows down, listening to a killer music playlist.

If you follow me on Spotify, you’ll know I have a wide variety of bops perfect for every genre. Which got me thinking – how cool would it be to have a Lakeland playlist for locals, by locals? And, of course, it’d be great to have handy so you could share with friends when they’re visiting the 863.

So, I created the LALtoday: Community Playlist for all our Lakelanders. Jessica and I went ahead and added our personal faves such as:

  • “Hollingsworth” by Luke Wilmoth
  • “Rhiannon” by Stevie Nicks
  • “Stormy Weather” by Frances Langford
  • “Check Yes, Juliet” by We the Kings
  • “Pope” by Copeland
  • “Trainwreck” by KELLA
  • “Wherever you are” by Connor Lockhart

Now it’s your turn. Simply create a free Spotify account (if you haven’t already), open the collaborative playlist, add the playlist to your library, and add songs that make you think of Lakeland – whether that be the city in general, a person/relationship here, songs by local artists, or just a great memory. *Note: Please try to keep your song choices non-explicit.

Once you’ve added your faves, enjoy this little piece of Lakeland on road trips, chilling by the lake, or during a city-side run.

Love this playlist? Click the buttons below to share it with a friend so they can add their best LAL songs.
