This year Lakeland Regional Health celebrates its 5th annual Hollis Cancer Center Promise Run. Dedicated to redefine and uplift the standards of cancer care, Lakeland Regional Health’s Hollis Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art campus offering all services necessary to conquer cancer. Staffed with renowned cancer specialists, in 2018 the center cared for over 4,500 cancer patients at more than 52,000 patient visits. Their team is dedicated to uplift the standards of cancer care, walking with patients and families every step of the way.

“The cancer center gave me the actual facts and makes you feel like you’re the only patient,” explains prostate cancer survivor Johnny P. Dixon, recalling his experience at the Hollis Cancer Center Urologic Oncology Department. “They become like family. And family is so important, you almost look forward to your appointment.”

This past year Lakeland Regional Health received its first gold Accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer, the highest level of recognition.

Lakeland Regional Health continues to hold the run inspired by individuals who believe cancer can be overcome when a community comes together. It’s a time to celebrate loved ones touched by cancer with a promise to strengthen the health of those around us.

Join the 5th Annual Hollis Cancer Center Promise Run and register to run or walk a 5k or 10k.
