A food truck park with 2,500 sq. ft. of event space

We’re seeing a ton of growth lately in + around our beautiful city. While the advancement of so many new projects can seem overwhelming, we love seeing developments that are bringing original ideas to revitalize spaces. And that’s exactly what’s happening right now at The Yard On Mass, a few miles from Downtown Lakeland.

Located off of the corner of N. Mass. Ave. and E. Parker St. at 802 N. Mass. Ave., the 0.56-acre site that was once a car dealership is turning into a food truck park this fall.

The space (modeled after the Rayback Collective in Boulder, C.O.) will include a 2,500 sq. ft. building with event space, a patio, and a mezzanine. Outside, the park will be lined with local Central Florida food trucks + cabanas.

Demolition began earlier this year and conceptual renderings for The Yard on Mass by KCMH Architects have just been released. Take a glimpse of what the space will look like here.

The Lakeland Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will donate $250,000 to the project and the owners will not pay rent for the first six months. The project is following one of many changes by the CRA to reinvigorate a block that once was dominated by dilapidated structures.
