Hey, future doctors, nurses + scientists. If you’re pursuing a career in the sciences, you want an education that goes beyond textbooks.

We recently went back to school for a day to explore a program that does just that through interactive lessons and collaborations with local healthcare systems: Southeastern University’s College of Natural & Health Sciences.

Check out our Reel all about it on the LALtoday Instagram.

What we tried

During our day on campus, we toured the science department + got a front-row seat to SEU’s unique approach to hands-on learning.

We learned that College of Natural & Health Sciences students can expect:

  • Small classes and professors with real-world experience.
  • High-tech experiential learning with an Anatomage Table, a 3D interactive image system that provides Graduate-level dissections + diagnostic learning.
  • Clinical and research opportunities with Lakeland Regional Health.
  • Opportunities for undergraduates to present research at state + national conferences. Past topics include Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and HIV.
  • Preparation for graduate programs that set future doctors and physician assistants up for success, like SEU’s MS in Medical Sciences, which mirrors the first year of medical school.

Plus, funding assistance is available for graduate school applications and test prep.
