What ‘Severance’ characters would get up to in Lakeland

We’re coming up with fan theories of our own for the characters of the show “Severance” — are you innie or outie?

City Editor Connor here, and I’m wondering if anyone else is as obsessed with the show “Severance” as I am. This Apple TV+ series follows employees of a mysterious company who undergo a procedure that “severs” their work lives and their personal lives. It’s a twisty thriller that’s launching thousands of fan theories and topping the streaming charts.

Ahead of the season two finale, I couldn’t help but come up with a theory of my own — what would these characters get up to if the show was based in Lakeland? Feel free to send in your ideas, or even what you think will happen in the finale.

Mark S.: As a former history professor, he would love poring over the records in the Lakeland History Room (maybe to bring back his own memories).

Helly R.: This employee is a real escape artist and has a few secret tricks up her sleeve — I’d love to see her go toe to toe with the puzzles in downtown’s Escapology + Lakeland Escape Room.

Dylan G.: Who can forget that interesting waffle party? Dylan’s outie likely has a standing reservation for brunch at Frescos.

Irving B.: Painting seems to be Irving’s passion, so I bet he would love the AGB, especially the new Andy Warhol exhibition.

Miss Cobel: How many scenes have we watched of Mrs. Selvig/Miss Cobel driving with reckless abandon? She’d fit right in with the drivers of I-4.

Mr. Milchick: I just know he’d be at the Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market every week to stock up on fresh produce for melon bars.

Miss Huang: Overachiever alert. Miss Huang may be young, but she would probably be valedictorian at George Jenkins High School and Camp Fire Sunshine’s top volunteer.

Gemma: If you need that many new outfits for each day, there’s no better place to shop (maybe even ‘til you drop) than Lakeside Village.
