The big TD (a.k.a. Turkey Day or Thanksgiving) is coming up and you know what that means: a feast on your plate, relatives on your couch + football on your TV. As if all of that wasn’t enough, Thanksgiving gets even better when you take time to think about all the things you’re grateful for.

While all of us at LALtoday are certainly thankful for this awesome job – we’re also thankful to have an amazing city like Lakeland to promote every single day.

That got us thinking. What Lakeland-specific things are LAL citizens thankful for?

Here are our examples that may spark some ideas for you.

A community of entrepreneurs and startups. From Lakeland Creative Makers to Catapult members, our city promotes local businesses.

A Mayor who celebrates the growth, victories + spirit of our city. Mayor Bill Mutz is an activist for LAL citizens and community initiatives. We are grateful for his support. 🎉

More nonprofits and charities than one can count. From the Dream Center to Parker Street Ministries to Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, the list goes on and on.

Tastings only in Lakeland. Some of our personal favorites are Scream’n Tuna Sushi, Born & Bread Bakehouse, S & L Restaurant + The Poor Porker. We know you have plenty more to tack on to that list. 📌

I, personally, am thankful for friends and family, events that bring community together and anticipating feelings of holiday festivities. More specifically to LAL, I could not live without Concord lattes + Hole In One Donuts.

Let us know what you’re thankful for and we’ll feature some of your answers in our newsletter on Thanksgiving Day.
