Artful Bowl is back this June.

The event, hosted by Platform Art, is set to take place on June 26 at Mirrorton. This will be the first public event occurring at the new complex. Artful Bowl will serve as a fundraiser in an effort to support the local art community here in Lakeland.

The details of the event describe it as a “casual gala” and will feature performance art, entertainment, food, drinks, and networking. Like previous Artful Bowl events, visitors will walk away with a ceramic bowl, handmade by local artist Randy Glotfelty of Jen-Ken Kilns.

In addition to its support of public art, the team behind the event also is in support of the Friends of Freedom monument — a bronze sculpture designed by Becky Ault of Art Research Enterprises, Inc., in commemoration of the Spanish-American War. It memorializes the Buffalo Soldiers once stationed in Lakeland + will be installed at Veterans’ Memorial Park next year.
