Our City Commission heard meaningful conversations during Monday night’s Community Forum on Race Relations , which has enhanced our perspectives and motivates us toward measurable responses. It is a privilege to serve alongside Commissioners who all care so deeply about people.

As the meeting ended, their compassion-filled eyes were quietly reflecting upon the pain many have unjustly experienced.

It is easy to race to opinions. It takes courage, planning, and hard work to implement solutions. As a Commission, we are grateful to serve at a time when the need to provide justice, opportunity, and equity is so imperative. I am confident our Commission and citizens will make that happen, and it warms my heart.

The best is yet to come!
