Calling all baseball fans: The Detroit Tigers are kicking off Spring Training in Polk County with their 75th annual Tiger BBQ, presented by Rodda Construction.

The decades-long tradition will be held on Wed., Feb. 23 at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium (2301 Lakeland Hills Blvd.) from 6-8 p.m.

Pro tip: Snag tickets for spring training games while you’re there.

Grab a group of friends or bring the kids along to enjoy an exceptional menu. Hint: You’ll find everything from pulled pork, ribs + chicken to all of your favorite “fixins” like potato salad, coleslaw and more.

Tickets are now available for $40 for adults + $20 for children 12 and under.

Spring Training

Tickets for spring training games are now on sale.

Single-game tickets are available, or purchase tickets to your five favorite matchups with the Tigers Spring Training Flex Plan.

Once regular season rolls around, the Lakeland Flying Tigers single-game tickets + themed-night ticket packages are available for those who love a theme (think: college night, TikTok night, and the Fireworks Spectacular).

The Lakeland Flying Tigers are set to open their season against the Tampa Tarpons on Fri., April 8 at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium (start time has yet to be announced).

For the past 84 years, the Detroit Tigers have traveled to LAL for their spring training, and to commemorate, the city has shown its gratitude for the team with an annual barbecue for 74 of those years.
