Does boating season ever really end in Florida? | Photo via Getmyboat
You know how the saying goes: “A friend with a boat is better than owning a boat.”
Skip the friend part and get straight to enjoying a day on the water with Getmyboat, an Airbnb-like service that lets you rent boats from locals and organizations in the area. We’re eyeing:
Sea-Doo Switch Pontoon Boat | Winter Haven | $226/hour
Six adults can explore the connecting lakes — this listing seems to be a fan-favorite with availability not starting until November.
Hurricane Sundeck Sport 205 | Winter Haven | $120/hour
Choose to have a relaxing boat day or a tubing adventure on this boat that fits up to 10 people — you can also inquire about other locations.
Luxury MasterCraft Cruise | Winter Haven | $136/hour
Sit back and relax as a captain takes up to 12 guests around the water — you can enjoy water sports, explore hidden coves, or stop at dockside eateries + bars.
Luxury 3-Story Yacht | St. Pete | $790/hour
Grab 12 other friends to splurge on a day in the Tampa Bay area with this yacht that comes with a floating pool, jet ski, and more.

Plant City’s Keel Farms has started its own Little Library, an initiative that connects the community with more books.
The rules are simple: Pick up a free book, and leave a previous read for someone else to enjoy. Senior Product Editor Haley has found some great reads using Little Free Libraries, from Dolly Alderton’s “Ghosts” to Emily Henry’s “Book Lovers.”
Bonus: The winery + brewery is also thinking of starting a book club — drop a book emoji in the comments if you’re interested.
There’s also plenty of fun to be had at Keel Farms, with or without a book.
A plumping and hydrating eye cream with 20,000+ five-star reviews. It features a caffeine-infused peptide complex that depuffs, brightens, and helps prevent wrinkles. Psst — Add the natural brand’s charcoal face scrub or gentle retinol to your routine for even more benefits.
The fun doesn’t have to end here. After reading the newsletter, head over to our games page. Games refresh with new challenges every day at 6 a.m. from crossword puzzle to Sudoku to themed word search.
For my more adventurous boaters, our sister market, ORLtoday, has you covered with what boats are in the area. Make sure to check it out the next time you find yourself spending a day or weekend in O-Town.
