Find this Little Free Library at 999 Lake Hollingsworth Dr. | Photo by LALtoday
Sometimes they look like little homes with glass doors, other times they’re re-purposed newspaper stands or mailboxes. Whatever they look like, you’ve seen those tiny, painted boxes posted up in a front yard or outside of a business filled to the brim with books... but what are they?
They’re called Little Free Libraries, and currently, there are dozens spread across the city providing Lakeland’s active + aspiring readers with access to books.
The locations of the libraries can be found on this interactive map — here are three to bookmark:
📚 Nala’s Library, 115 Patten Heights St. | Charter #145346
📚 Lake Beulah FLW, 56 Lake Beulah Dr. | Charter #119695
📚 Beehere Library, 402 Hancock St. | Charter #129491
To start a Little Free Library, you can build your own or buy one from the Little Free Library online store.
A lightweight spring jacket that won’t overheat you during transitional spring months. We’re loving every floral pattern of this women’s quilted jacket and the cut of this men’s cotton bomber jacket.
I’m looking forward to everything this summer has to offer in Lakeland, especially this weekend’s “Star Wars” fun. We’ll add more summer plans to our guide as they’re announced — you can help by submitting your events for free.
