As if we needed an excuse to get out and enjoy Lakeland’s natural beauty. Today is Take a Walk in the Park Day, so get out and stretch your legs at one of our city’s 70+ parks and recreational spots. Take inspiration from these three, rated by difficulty.
Easy:Munn Park
Strolling downtown with an iced latte from a nearby cafe in hand? Sign us up.
Medium: Bonnet Springs Park
Here you can walk along picturesque boardwalks and a paved circulator trail. Pro tip: Free shuttles also offer rides around the park when you need a lift.
Hard:Se7en Wetlands
Tour 8.5 miles of scenic trails featuring native fauna, including wild birds, river otters, and reptiles. The park also features unique habitats like marshes, lakes, and uplands.
Expert: Holloway Park Have some extra time on your hands? This park features 362 acres of cross-country trails for you to run or hike.
