Of course, I’d share a cruffin or two with each of our readers.

Did you win the nearly $2 billion Powerball jackpot this past weekend? Neither did I, so I’m dreaming of what I’d buy with that kind of cash:
  • 288 million milk + honey cruffins from Born & Bread
  • 58.2 million extra-large supreme pizzas from Palace Pizza
  • 39.1 million Flying Tigers tickets (all-you-can-eat buffet in the ’34 Club included)
  • 4.5 million Lake Morton swans
Tell me what Lakeland items you’d buy.

This former Zillow exec is targeting a $1.3 trillion market

Presented by Pacaso

Austin Allison sold his first company to Zillow for $120 million. Now he’s building another real estate innovator in Pacaso.

Pacaso has already made $110 million+ in gross profits to date by disrupting the $1.3 trillion vacation home market, and the same big investors that backed Uber and eBay have already invested.

But unlike Austin’s previous companies, everyday investors (like you) can invest in Pacaso as a private company. Over 10,000 individuals already have.

Invest before the opportunity ends Sept. 18. ‡*

Answered

A member of which band was electrocuted on stage in Lakeland, inspiring a song?

  • 39% — KISS
  • 28% — AC/DC
  • 18% — Van Halen
  • 15% — U2
Each of these bands performed at the former Lakeland Civic Center, but it was guitarist Ace Frehley of KISS who got the shock of his life. It led him to write the 1977 song “Shock Me.”
Who else performed here?

The Wrap

Black & Brew’s fall menus just dropped, and I have three words for you: apple pie chai. The coffee house describes it as “if our chai and apple cider made a baby,” and even in this late summer heat, this could be the drink that has you taking your sweaters out of storage.
