Civic
  • City and FDOT officials are working to create a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining funding responsibilities to complete the Dixieland road diet. The MOU is expected to go before commissioners in late July or August, with construction beginning in late 2026. (LkldNow)

  • The south Lakeland Winn-Dixie may close July 28, but it will reopen as an Aldi in 2025 according to a statement from a company spokesperson. Now through the store’s closing, shoppers can expect to find items from meat to liquor on clearance, as well as new operating hours. (LkldNow)

  • $349,999. That was the median listing price for Polk homes in June, up 0.2% from May. Despite the small rise, Polk homes still continue to stay priced under the Florida + national medians, which came in at $450,000 and $445,000, respectively. (The Ledger)

I have a preference for simple, black + white tattoos, so I’d probably choose the outline of a swan with a crown on its head as a nod to its royal roots.
