The Bob Adams Family Community YMCA at 3620 Cleveland Heights Blvd. (formerly Lakeland Family YMCA) is breaking ground today at 9 a.m. on the next phase of its $21 million, multi-year renovation.

The George Jenkins Field House will boast two stories and will be home to an indoor turf field, two basketball courts, and an elevated indoor track. In total, the structure will encompass 40,000 sqft. A timeline for the construction of the fieldhouse has not been shared.

The project’s first phase, a new 150-space parking lot began construction in the fall of 2023. The YMCA announced that it expects this phase to take anywhere from 9-12 months, which gives it an estimated completion date by fall of this year.

Head to the link below to see what other renovations are in store for the community hub over the next three years.

ICYMI, it’s getting hot out there. One of my favorite ways to cool off when it gets hot is by sipping on a cold iced tea, so our story today felt particularly fitting. Catch me living off of iced Color Theory teas for the foreseeable future.
