The George Jenkins Field House will boast two stories and will be home to an indoor turf field, two basketball courts, and an elevated indoor track. In total, the structure will encompass 40,000 sqft. A timeline for the construction of the fieldhouse has not been shared.
The project’s first phase, a new 150-space parking lot began construction in the fall of 2023. The YMCA announced that it expects this phase to take anywhere from 9-12 months, which gives it an estimated completion date by fall of this year.
