Breaking ground this week, and #ComingSoon in 2022 is The Well: a $1.3 million, 4,700 sqft collaborative workspace.

The Lakeland CRA-supported project — a brainchild of local entrepreneur Dr. Sallie Brisbane-Stone — will be constructed at 114 E. Parker St. (the location where the former Lighthouse Ministries building once stood) in Midtown.

With an extra emphasis on diversity + inclusion, the space is anticipated to build authentic synergy between entrepreneurs + launch their business to the next level, authentically. The Well was also created from a desire to serve populations in the community that often may be missed (such as women, minorities + veterans), according to Dr. Sallie.

Quoted: “There’s a movement here in Lakeland to become more culturally diverse and inclusive and there are many people who have the potential to launch their business and come to the table and participate at that next level.” — Dr. Sallie Brisbane-Stone

The Well will be far more than a wading pool in terms of its offerings:

  • A large events space
  • Office, desk + conference room rentals
  • The potential for live music and open mic nights
  • Multimedia support services
  • A proposed commercial kitchen

While there’s not yet an exact date on when the space will open, if you’re looking for more information on The Well, you can reach out here.
