Small Business Saturday is when the lovers-of-all-things-local come out to shop, and it takes place this weekend.

Fun facts from Small Business Saturday last year:

American Express shared that there was a record-high spending of $19.8 billion for Small Business Saturday across the country.
50% of shoppers reported they found local shops + its deals through social media recommendations.
56% of shoppers made online-only purchases from small businesses.

The Wonderland of Lights displays kicks off today at International Market World. Get into the holiday spirit and come see the drive-through light show and experience Santa’s Village filled with vendors and entertainment. Tickets cost $25 and the event runs until Jan. 2. 🎄

The corner of Main Street and Tennessee Avenue, near Black & Brew, will soon be the home of a Dart World Gaming Arena. The spot will offer nerf and virtual reality party package options for up to 24 players. The venue will utilize genuine Nerf products and will open for ages six and older.

According to the biz’s Facebook, the first brick and mortar arena, aka the Lakeland location, is slated to open sometime in late December or early January.
