In the age of COVID-19, businesses are getting craftier and changing direction to make sure customers are safe and satisfied – including the Catapult Kitchen Incubator.
The innovative concept allows entrepreneurs access to a commercial kitchen + tools to help food-based start-ups take an idea from concept to reality. And now, kitchen members can sell their products directly to consumers out of Catapult thanks to a new pop-up window.
Looking out onto Catapult’s outdoor patio, the window allows customers to grab a meal and eat social-distance-style in open-air seating.
Here’s how it works:
- Entrepreneurs schedule a time + date for their pop-up
- Catapult members + the general public simply show up during scheduled dates to purchase crafted foods from the window
Recently, Japanese-style waffle brand Wafu and Taste of Home Grill, a contemporary concept that blends Southern and Jamaican cuisine, held pop-ups at the window and plan to host more events there in the future.
Up next in the pop-up series:
- Fri., Aug. 21 (11 a.m.-2 p.m.): Vegetation Plant Food + Krazy Kombucha
- Wed., Aug. 26 (11 a.m.-2 p.m.): Casita Verde + Vicky G’s
- Fri., Aug. 28 (11 a.m.-2 p.m.): Wafu, Omusubee (specializing in onigiri, Japanese rice triangles), + Mk Boba (Craft boba tea)
Keep an eye on Catapult’s events calendar + subscribe to their newsletter to stay up-to-date on who’s cooking in the kitchen. Ⓟ
